Video: She & Him- I Could've Been Your Girl
This is pretty nifty; She & Him have premiered the video for their newest song from their new album Volume 3. The video is for “I Could’ve Been Your Girl”. This will also mark Zooey's directorial debut. Not sure how I feel about some of the dance moves but all in all it's a peppy video with a nod to '60's musicals.

Chester Bennington Is The New Lead Singer For Stone Temple Pilots
The local rock radio station out here in L.A. is KROQ and Saturday night at KROQ's 21st Annual Weenie Roast at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater the Stone Temple Pilots made a surprise appearance. If the guest appearance wasn't enough of a surprise the bigger shower was that the front man for STP was Linkin Park's front man Chester Bennington. Chester Bennington is no Scott Weiland BUT he does have that unique voice that makes a worthy replacement. Even after former front man Weiland stated that STP wouldn't be able to make it without him. Check out a teaser of their new track "out of time".
Get a fee download of the track at ww.stonetemplepilots.com or check out their Facebook page.
Curious about how Weenie Roast 2013 went down here is a clip of the last 2 songs and a little bit of "Interstate Love Song".

Video: Kendrick Lamar - Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe (Explicit)
The video for "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe" off of Kendrick's good kid, m.A.A.d city is out now.
I'm a huge West Coaster and tend to dig most of the stuff out there. This video here is seriously lacking. Watch Kendrick move his rap hands in an empty field and slow motion his way through a church that has some ladies attending a funeral in all white club attire. Don't forget Kendricks Harlem shake moment when he's sitting in the limo alone one second then he's partying hard in the back with 9/10 people...then again at the grave site. I thought you were at a funeral? You're killing me guys Lol. My bad dude, don't wanna kill your vibe.

Man of Steel - Official Trailer 3
The new Superman flick Man of Steel has dropped it's third brand new trailer that sheds some light on Superman’s background. This Features Russel Crowe as Superman’s father which if they kept it true to the story is named Jor-El. The trailer shows a good amount defining moments of the film, including when Superman first receives the moniker which seems like a less than stellar clip. Check it, Superman due to hit theaters June 14.

Pretty Cheeky Chimes In On The Boston Marathon Bommbing
This is a subject that is near and dear to me. Many have asked me to chime in on the situation because most know I am an avid runner. There is so much going on with this right now, from fear of the unknown to conspiracy theories flooding the internet. I don't have answers to any of that nor is that the main issue for now.
Some of you may not know this but the Boston Marathon is not just "some running event" a person must qualify to be there and that means many hours of training, eating right, dedication. Marathon training is brutal on the body. I heard the creator of a facebook runners page called Buns on the run say it best "The Boston Marathon is like the Superbowl for runners". The average person won't even get up and drive 26.2 miles let alone try to run that distance. The crime itself is especially cruel because it was at the finish line. A person is exhausted, cramping, dehydrated but at the same time on a natural high because the finish line not only means the end of your grueling journey but for most it's especially important because that's where your family, significant other and friends are cheering you on to finish and all of a sudden all that pain is gone and it's all worth it.
For some to attack anyone or anything will always be wrong no matter what the reason. Any time an attack happens people are robbed of something; robbed of life, the remainder of their day, work, a family member, a loved one, a possession of some sort an the list is endless. In this case runners were robbed of a finish, for the unfortunate few loved ones, health, a normal way of life. My heart goes out to everyone injured but it hits home with the runners that lost limbs and loved ones. If you can't imagine what this was like because you're not a runner the all you have to do is picture your best athletic achievement; the game winning basket, a hole in one, that home run, touchdown, the walk around the school track, around the block and have it interrupted by an explosion and having dozens of people injured in the process. Now your moment never happened and you've been robbed along with everyone else physically, emotionally and mentally. Luckily we are in an age that the technology in prosthetic limbs is incredible and with time and determination each and everyone of those injured can come back to be the one that is triumphant over terrorism.
The news will keep you updated with what they feel is the latest news. Thank you all for thinking of me because you know if and when I qualify for the Boston marathon I would be there with the rest of the elites. Hopefully this never happens to anyone ever again to anyone anywhere. Before I wrap this up I just have to say; We runners are not your average person. Runners are strong, determined, and courageous. When others said we are crazy for running that much we smile and say "thank you" and then run even further. When our bodies say "stop, no more" we push harder and surprise even ourselves. We know don't know the meaning of the word "Quit" because every time that word has been presented we refuse to hear it and keep pushing forward. An attack by one or more coward will not stop a runners will and drive. Keep those positive thoughts and good deeds coming Cheeksters.
Here is a link so you can learn how to help should you chose to.
