So I brought you ways to buy the Get Busy Committee album for dirt cheap before it went onto itunes. Hopefully, (if you are a real hip hop fan) you scooped up the album. Jennifer Lopez Drops It Too Low

During her performance at the AMA's last night Sunday; Jennifer Lopez had a bit of a balance issue and ate it (fell) during her performance of the song "louboutins" at the Nokia Theater in L.A.. Lopez climbed a stair of dancers and jumped off the top "man Step" and landed on her famous butt instead of her feet. My hat goes a little off to her because she got right up and kept going. you have to expect mishaps every now and then.

Miss Landmine 2009

As I was thumbing along the pages of a magazine I saw this article about Beauty Pageants and I came across this one "The Miss Landmine Cambodia 2009" Pageant. It appears that this past Saturday Nov. 14th the attending audience of 250 Cambodians who live in Norway, Norwegian guest along side international and national media chose a winner of the National Cambodian final-in-exile. The winner was Miss Battambang: Dos Sopheap who took home the crown. Dos represents Battambang, which is one of the most heavily mined providences.

Second runner up was Miss Takeo: Thou Chorn and Third runner up was Miss Kompong Chan: So Yeu. I don't think I need to state the obvious but this is a contest for women who have lost limbs due to land mines, explosives and things of that nature due to the dangerously hard times in their countries.

Congrats ladies! Thank you for your courage and hotness.

GO SEE IT NOW : An Education

Yes i love my art house films, weirdo ones about dreams and crazy ones about insists and art. i love them all! Sometimes my love makes it hard for me to recommend them to others because i admittedly cast a wide net with my love for them. That being said, This lil independent film is a very sweet and very English film very woman should see!

An Education tells the story of Jenny, a 16 year old girl from a small town in England, who is coming to the point in her life were she must decide which next step is the step for her. Her very pushy father has mapped out a trail for her that takes her from Twichkenham, to Oxford to married to a very nice and stable lawyer. The prep school she attends has a finite path that brings her right back to the prep school as a teacher. All the while Jenny herself longs for late nights with French boys, cigarettes and music!


Sound familiar?? I was instantly connected. Of course, as you already know, some man comes and makes her rethink all the paths she once saw for her life. A blessing and a curse as she spends the last month of her schooling aging well beyond her years (not literally ok, must be said post Benjamin Button)

While everyone in the movie was good (again...art house...not gonna be bad) Carey Mulligan's star shown the brightest. She was sweet and darling and still strong in the times i realllly wanted her to be. I am excited to see her in her next role, she is a lil bitty starlet that I hope to see again and again, in lil bitty art house films :)

Shakira Shakira!

I am glad to see Shakira back on TV :) it makes my lil heart smile, i must say. She is no doubt GORGEOUS but also brings a refreshing world music feel to American mainstream music (alil latina, alil middle eastern, alil European techno)

The new video from Lo Hecho Esta Hecho (Do it Again) was brilliant. Great dancing and great outfits! The majority of the video involves a dance between Shakira and male interest fighting back and forth over a bed! So hot and sooo much fun to watch. The Costuming in the video, like alllll Shakira videos, is bright and colorful and i want all the pieces!

oh yea and there is one with lil Wayne too...

Rihanna at the Women of The Year Gala hosted by Glamour Magazine. This feels very project runway to me, actually it's very Christian Siriano. The dress is actually very beautiful and Glamorous indeed but I don't know how I feel about it on her. I don't know man ... it's a toss up for me.

Lopez Live on TBS!!!

So let me just say that I LOVE George Lopez, he to me is a great reminder of what my father is-- funny, sarcastic, brown and with a matching big head. So last night 's world premier of Lopez Live was pretty damn exciting for me because I have been sooooo ready for something to break the mold of late night show's. The Late Night 1hour show is on TBS and had opening guests of Eva Longoria Parker, Kobe Bryant and Santana- he started his show off with a bang! Literally- the guy had a loud Latin band and even louder audience cheering him on. After trying to get the show off the ground for what felt like an eternity, I have to say the road last night was a little bumpy but none the less had some real potential. The Pro's def out weigh the con's but let me break it down a little for all those who didn't get a chance to watch.

Con's
--The entire opening monologue to me was very very rehearsed. Although I love George Lopez stand up, I didn't need to see the past 10 years of his career pushed into a 15 minute opening. Slow it down Georgie, there is plenty of time to get it all out there.
-- Rushing through the interviews, Yes I know there is ton's of information that star's want to get out there and stories they want to tell but through the entire Eva Longoria Parker interview it felt like he was checking off things from the list and it didn't feel genuine at all. this needs a little help
-- Sound- omg was it super annoying that the mic's were off and the crowd was so much louder than George Lopez. Sometimes I couldn't even hear what he was saying. This needs improvement
-- GoGo Dancers behind the band-- really?? this is not needed we are not on Univision and this is not Sabado Gigante. No need to add this to the mix.

Pro's
-- Uumm, Jello Shots for an opening night?? Yes please!!
-- Opening joke was funny as well and really set the tone for his type of humor: “50 Cent has a fragrance called ‘Power’– it smells like illegitimate children and gun-powder.”
-- Racial Profiling Bit in the beginning was hysterical. Getting people on the streets to answer stereotypical questions and then having audience members decide what the response is was a great opening skit. Take that Jay Walkers ...
-- Eva Longoria Parker on a Stripper Pole was funny but even better was the fact that George got up there in his suit and did the rounds himself.
-- Getting Kobe Bryant to not only come in for an interview but get him to admit he is a shit talker on the court .... Even better, get him to talk shit in Spanish !! Hahaha!
-- Get Derek Fisher to show up, surprise Kobe and have Kobe talk shit to him in Spanish.
-- Santana, was on FIRE. Best opening guest to really hit home with his target demographic. Loved it.

Overall the show was great, hit some bumps but not anything he can't recover from. George Lopez is a unique brand of Southern California Chicano, I really hope people stick around and get his sense of humor because it's really great to see him in the type of environment that suits him so well.

Karma is A Bitch Carrie Prejean

It is always the one's that are the most conservative and on their high horse that fall down the hardest. I have seriously been annoyed by little Miss. X California for some time and was soooo very happy when I heard that she had dropped her 1 million dollar law suit- that had no merit let me just say, against the California pageant commission because little did she know that her self - solo made sex tape had been exposed. I like to think of it as karma for all the shit talking she has been doing for the past couple of months. The fact that she tried to weasel herself out of her contract and join the ultra conservatives elite ranks of the republican party in a one two punch was way too much for me. She was annoying, uneducated in her responses and thankfully done with her 15 minutes of fame. Although she does have a book coming out in the next month or so, I am happy that we will not be seeing and hopefully hearing anything else from her.

Christian Siriano for Payless

Can I just say, I am soooo pleasantly surprised by this line. One of the few that have come out of pay less that I can really say I will likely walk in to purchase. Christian Siriano from Project runway fame is doing a hell of a job branding himself and getting himself out there with his own line coming out, signature gift cards for Starbucks, his own reality show and now this pay less show line. He is def doing it up. Although the line consists of heals, bags and flats- I have to say the gold flats are my favorite. All running for under $49.99 - this is one impressive group.

Rihanna on 20/20

So Ladies and Gentlemen- the wait is over and Rihanna will finally tell her side of the story tonight on 20/20 with Diane Sawyer. I for one am interested to hear what she has to say since it has been a few months since this has happened and we have all heard Chris brown talk and try to redeem himself and have heard nothing but a peep from her. I do find it a little disgusting though that she is using the intimate details of what happened to her that night to promote her new album, because lets face it- this is what it is. All though I completely understand that it takes time to heal and deal with these type of traumatic events happening to you-- telling your story should happen when your ready and I am not exactly sure that it should coincide with an album release date. I guess we will see what the big ol hoopla is all about tonight.

Jacki Chan plays a secret agent by the name of Bob Ho (which sounds a lot like Bob Hope, Which is similar to Shanghai Noon where his characters name was Chon Wang but sounded like John Wayne...Coincidence) Who is a top notch secret agent but is recruited to take care of a group of kids for his mission. How can you lose with Billy Ray and George Lopez on the roster?

My best guess to this is Jackie trying to take a stab at the grabbing the Family demographic because this is right up there with Vin Diesel in the Pacifier, and Hulk Hogan In Suburban Commando. What kind of wacky antics will ensue? I posted the trailer for you to try to grasp the madness.

Twilight Teens All Gush

I Have to say, I for one do not believe any of the tabloid hoopla that Rob Patterson and Kristin Stewart are dating but just like with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams the idea of two main characters in a romance actually finding love together is some what a fairy tale ending if it was actually to come true. Harpers Bazaar is making all the tweens wishes come true in this romantic photo spread featuring the two actors in this month's issue. The pictures actually make Kristin Stewart look attractive- which has been hard to do since she has been rocking the greasy trailer trash look for the past year. Rob, has that very English look to him but I still don't see the die hard hotness all these chickies be swearing by ... I'm just saying ...

Kate Hudson has given Elle Magazine a very candid interview were some of her quotes are going to last a lifetime, lol! For instance when it comes to men, she believes:
