With Red Carpet in full swing- I can barely keep up with all the Fashion coverage, so here is my first post on everything that went oh so wrong last night.....
I don't know why but I am always so confused to why people decide to wear ugly clothes. Is it the attention?? Do they not have friends?? Are they color blind?? Should we blame their stylist?? Or is it the lame excuse that they really just have bad taste??
Confused?? Let's see exactly what I am talking about ....
Pale Pink DISASTERS: all though pink was an excellent color choice for last night, the way they were used here is a freaking disaster.
Sandra & Scarlett: With Sandra wearing Jenny Packham (who??) and Scarlett wearing Elie Sab these incredibly similar looking dresses wen't all wrong. The over beading on the gowns followed by those 3/4 sleeves made these gowns look old and more similar to something a grandmother would wear. DON't even get me started on those bangs Sandra is wearing- too over powering and just not cute at all.
Natalie: This HORRIBLY rose adorned Victor & Rolf Gown was a nice idea that went bad. The shinny satin undertone and that incredibly ridiculous large rose didn't make it better. She simply just looked like one of the MTV Teen Mom's getting dressed for Prom. -3 points on the cool scale Ms.Portman.
Tilda Sweeten: Oh dear oh my- WHY?????? So I know that she is a bit Avant Guard with her look and very minimalistic but this is a bit much. The Colored shirt and skirt was extremely large and her make up was so natural that she pretty much just melted in with her outfit. It's as if Casper was walking down the red carpet.
Halle Berry: Ok, first let me start by saying that I think she is an incredibly beautiful sexy women. Although she can pretty much wear anything and make it look fabulous- this is just inappropriate. Underwear on the red carpet should be left to those under the age of 30 with no kids. One can always be sexy- but satin corset and sheer black fabric should be left for the bedroom. Shame on you Nina Ricci for letting her wear that out in public.
Michelle Williams: This is what happens when you let your children pick your clothes. With cartoon like flowers, I am guessing this is the only reason why Valentino would even send this gown to Michelle- because they knew her daughter would love it. Unfortunately she is the only person that feel's that way.
High Fashion Attempts gone WRONG.
January Jones: Seriously, how did Versace put her in this?? better question is why in the heck would they even make this. First of all her breast are entirely to large for this type of top and the fringe on the bottom isn't really great or even cute for that matter. This just isn't a great look for her all together- she could have done so much better.
Juliane Moore: Lanvin is normally exquisite but this ill fitting, non tailored number just makes me want to cry. She looks square- the inner sleeve added on the puff sleeve is not cute and it is just to overwhelming. Had major potential but it completely just missed the dismount.
And Finally .... When Prints attack.
Helena Boem Carter: Ok I get it, your funky and we should always expect this from you but could you a tleast wear matching shoes??? I am not sure that this is the idea that Vivien Westwood had when she sent the dress over for a golden globe red carpet nominee.
Heidi Klum: My problem with this dress is that it is entirely to casual. She looks like she is going for a day at the beach, rather than attending the golden globes. This has to be designed by the most recent project runway winner MARC JACOBS (whaaaatt???) or else I would see no reason for her to be wearing this ....
