Video: Adele - Someone Like You

Adele's hit some "Someone like you" has definitely soared through the charts and has touched many people... in a sentimental way; (pervs). Adele finally released the music video for the hit song. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not wild about it. I understand it, her walking alone etc but I did expect a little more. I don't know what; but something more than just some walking through the streets. I dig the version of her recording the song in her home better but some can argue that it's just Adele standing there singing. It's more real, raw in my eyes. What do you think?

Amy Shackleton Doesn't Need Any Stinking Paint Brushes

Toronto based artist Amy Shackleton works without any brushes when she paint. Maybe she finds brushes overrated? I dunno, pretty picky for a 25 year old; in any case I dig her style.Working by using gravity and a sting to create the lines, check out this speed up video of Amy creating an urban landscape named "Terrace City".  She splatters paint on a canvas and it's art, I do it and it's just making a mess. Enjoy!

A Little late There Kitty: Puss In Boots - "The Cat Haz Swagger"

Paramount dropped the new Puss in Boots promo. It seems a little late to spin off the whole Old Spice commercial. The Muppets did it already, the old Spice even had beef with Fabio and resolved it and NOW they spin off? For the most part it's a little quirky and fun but nothing you haven't seen before. You get "A" for effort guys but a C- for the delivery of the "I'm on a horse" line.

Super Babies - Embryonic Superheroes.....

 

How would you like to give birth to a super hero baby? I assume birthing "Thing" (above) wouldn't be much fun and the mother would hate the fact that she won't ever be able to walk right again.

This exhibit is in a place called the St. Pierre on Rue Ronsard. I believe that's in France but what do I know. i'm still not allowed to cross the street alone. It's a trip to see the embryo's in their costumes but what else can you expect from super kids? What do you guys think? Art or just plain weird?

Vinylmation - Villains Series #2

Disney has announced its new line of Vynilmations that are set to be released October 4, 2011 in Disney Stores. This is the 2nd Villain series in the huge spectrum of the many Vinylmation series. There is 11 designs and 1 mystery chaser. There will also be a 9 inch Vinyl of Jafar with a  3inch Genie Vinyl.

These little guys get me every time I go to Disney, I often think the Scrooge Mcduck from Ducktales character is based on Disney money makers. If I had a bin full of money I'd try to swim in it also. i'll have to stick to the hose in the front yard for now.

Oh Snap! 8 year old Evan Doherty lands 720 on vert!

Whoa! Check out  "Big E" or little Evan Doherty who is a 8 year old skateboarder and who is now the youngest to ever land the 720 on a skateboard. Little Big E has been doing huge things by landing a McTwist, a 540 and now the 720 all in 1 summer. All I did this summer was trip over a skateboard which resulted in everyone pointing and laughing.

Childosh Gambino (A.K.A. Donald Glover) drops his latest single entitled "Bonfire" from his upcoming album "Camp". I've been diggin' Childish Gambino's tracks for a minute now. Video: World's Dopest Drag Race! Vroooom!!!

In the September issue of Motor Trend magazine there is an an arsenal of high end race cars. With a combined total of 82 cylinders, 5000 horsepower and nearly $1.5 million dollars in value; this proves to be the worlds greatest drag race. I definitley didn't expect the outcome that actuall happened :Spoiler alert - You should have watched the video first ahaha: The 2012 Nissan GT-R takes first place home over the like of the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Audi R8 GT, Porsche 911 and the Corvette Z06. Spanking all the cars off the line, this video was shot at El Toro Marine Corp Air Station in El Toro California. though this was a casual competition due to all the close ups and Ariel shots, this definitely looked like they were racing for pink slips. This more than likely was set for bragging rights than to determine the cars actual performance. it's not the car, but  the driver.

Limited-edition Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale

When you make one of the fastest cars around, it's really hard to top yourself; especially if you want to stay within regulations to make the car somewhat street legal. With enough torque to go (62 MPH) 0-100 Km/H in 3.4 seconds the Gallardo 570-4 and generating 570 HP V-10 engine; the Super Trofeo Stradale has no problem being called one of the extreme Gallardos made to date. Sporting is new "Rosso Mars" glossy finish it's be sure to give people whiplash from watching the red color that symbolizes Italy zoom down the highway.  With my luck i'd have to spend as much money on speeding tickets a s i did on the car. Curse this led foot of mine. For those that don't understand V-10 and all the specifics, then here you go : This car is REALLY expensive and it goes REALLY fast and if you live in Los Angeles you might get it to 25 MPH on the 405 freeway. Woot! Woot!

Emporio Armani 2011 Fall/Winter Campaign Featuring Rihanna

Armani's Emporio, Armani Jeans, and Armani Underwear have a new spokes person for their brand and it's none other than pop star Rihanna. It looks like she threw in the towel with the red hair and is sporting a blond do or wig. I hear this campaign was shot in new York and is set to launch sometime in September. What do you think? Should she rock the blond hair? Can she pull that off? Does the campaign make you want to buy clothes or hit the gym?

Kermit the Frog adidas Superstar II Sneakers

Jim Henson's Kermit the frog linked up with Adidas Superstar to create his own kicks. In this Adi original set to be released  in November or as early as late October. The shoe is composed of green suede uppers and white leather stripes along with the unforgettable shell toe-top.

These MIGHT be half way descent if they didn't have that Kermit the frog jagged collar on the tongue, but then again; if it wasn't there then it'd just be a green shoe. Go figure...

Recap: Gallery 1988: Garbage Pail Kids Tribute Show

For those of you who were into trading cards as a kid might have found yourself bored with the same old basketball or baseball players cards because you probably didn't think they'd ever hold any value. The era of those boring cards took a turn when the Garbage Pail Kids were introduced. For most of us,  we grew up with these extremely gross but yet extremely cool trading cards. The good folks at Gallery 1988 decided to pay tribute to our awesomely disgusting little friends using their always ready artist.

The first 50 lucky people through the door received an exclusive Garbage Pail kids t-shirt on opening night. The Gallery was jam packed with Garbage Pail kids enthusiast. I captured the moment for those of you who could not attend and for those of you wanting a sneak peak of what is in store for you when you do go.The artistry is amazing as always, every artist put on their thinking caps to keep the true form of Garbage pail kids while giving them a brand new flare. 

The Gallery will run this event until October 1, 2011.
